ケニア出身、イギリスを拠点に活動する陶芸作家マグダレン・オドゥンドの作品集”The Journey of Things”のカバーデザイン違いのセカンドエディション。

アフリカではイギリス式の教育を受けたため、アフリカ美術は原始的なものであると教えられたという彼女。大学時代にそれが間違いであることを知ったというオドゥンドの受けてきた影響を見て取ることができる一冊。彼女自身のものはもちろん、ヘンリー・ムーア、ルーシー・リー、バーバラ・ヘップワースといった作家の作品、作者不明の古代エジプトやペルーの陶器など、時代や場所も様々な作品が並ぶ。玉虫色に輝く紙など、異なる紙質のページがゴムバンドで閉じられたつくりで、独特の存在感を持った作品集になっている。内容は1st editiionと同じです。
