『Andy Warhol 　The Day the Factory Died』

2006年に Empire Editions から出版された、アンディ・ウォーホルの葬儀の時のドキュメント写真集。写真は Christophe von Hohenberg。当時、『ヴァニティフェア』誌に依頼されて現場で写真を撮ったのが彼で、編集に関わったのは、Charlie Scheips。そしてこの二人の名前で出されたのがこの写真集で、訪れる人々の写真が見開きに広くレイアウトされたページがメインで、それに加えて、エッセイが２本と、参列者たちから送られたウォーホルとの思い出に関する手紙を集積した Letters というパートと、最後には、写真に写されている人たちの名前を記したパートがある。 
 
ウォーホルが亡くなったのは1987年２月で、この葬儀が行われたのは、ニューヨークの聖パトリック大聖堂。当日は、ここに美術界や音楽界のスターたちが勢揃いし、ウォーホルの逝去を悼んだ。その記録とウォーホルに関するさまざまなエピソードが満載のこの本は、ウォーホルマニアにとっては垂涎の一冊で、高値で現在も取引されることが多いものです。参考までにAmazonへのリンクを貼っておきます。

コンディションは、極めて良好。流石に経年による若干のスレが表紙や裏表紙には見受けられますが、気をつけて見ないとわからない程度です。ですが、その点を考慮して、ギリギリのところまで下げた価格で提供いたします。
